The National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) confirms that AXPE Consulting has not engaged in illegal practices to share the ICT market in the resolution dated July 31, 2018. AXPE Consulting has been under investigation since April 25, 2016, alongside 11 other IT and development companies, and has been exonerated from any involvement in illegal agreements to block the entry of other competitors into the Information Technology sector.
AXPE Consulting reaffirms the high ethical conduct of its governing team in the performance of its duties.
The CNMC asserts that there is no evidence that AXPE Consulting participated in any agreement to divide the Information Technology market or impede the entry of new competitors into the sector.
In this way, and unlike other companies, AXPE Consulting is exempt from any responsibility related to this case and reaffirms its high level of professional ethics and appropriate conduct in the performance of its functions.
This resolution was issued by the CNMC after the agency conducted an investigation to gather evidence, prepared a statement of facts, opened a period for appeals, and held a hearing.
The initiation of the investigation was first known on April 25, 2016, after the CNMC received information from the State Agency for Tax Administration (AEAT) regarding tenders for development and maintenance services for systems and applications called by the Tax Agency.
With all this, we highlight the role of AXPE Consulting as an incentivizer of the market, achieving significant discounts in public tenders and thus promoting other companies to offer more competitive prices. Thanks to our way of operating, the government can maximize citizen taxes.
